A break …..
Towards the Continuum
Ever since, Andry Rajoelina as President of Madagascar has happened
Gaelle Borgias as the Voice of the Hidden Truth
Famine and Climate Change Issues via the resounding call of WPF Chief David Beasley
Ecosystem concerns and the support of International Organizations
Covid – at a lesser scale – but not void of controversies and business and political gambling
At a lesser scale of the outrageous, the consistent harassment of Westernized Malagasies, the misguided dislike of Malagasy, Madagascar-based investors, the dissolving of the traditional Malagasy culture amidst a “renaissance” trend, the embracing of a perceived-modern, “global” culture, all of these and more in a background of corruption and lack of accountability
Consistently unchanged, if not increasing, are insecurity and lack of safety
Again all these in an extreme misery described as “Abject Poverty” by some while you read gloryfying stories
Where the Millenials lead the conversation while the younger generations follow all trends at random, amidst the core of the common Malagasy, more often than not, becoming increasingly uncontrollable and dependent on Social Media – THE social and political outlet –
And the emergence of, not economic prosperity, but deep outcry from Malagasy-born writers for cultural and economic revival…
This was the break…
And more than ever, Education Matters … Leadership Matters …. Accountability is Key
